Emerging from Leipzig, Germany, Oh No Noh is the solo project of composer, guitarist and robot-programmer Markus Rom. It's a space where tape loops, electric guitar, MIDI-robots and found-sound combine to form a distinctive sonic world. He explores beauty in forgotten machinery, ambient textures and minimal instrumentation - building entire mini-orchestras out of everyday objects and obsolete technologies.
With his latest album “As Late As Possible” (April 2025) he pushes further into the liminal zone between song form and experimental sound-art: patience, process and the poetry of simplicity become guiding themes.
Live performances bring this aesthetic to life: a guitarist working alongside robots and tape machines, conjuring ambient, post-rock and indietronica textures that feel both delicate and otherworldly.
FFO: Flaer, Keinseier , Thomas Flynn, The Notwist, Christian Löffler.
