‘Spark!’ will entertain late night shoppers on Thursday 7th December at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, starting in Princesshay square. This 30 minute show includes drumming and kaleidoscopic lighting to spread the Christmas cheer.

Cathedral Christmas Market

The much-loved Christmas market has returned to the Cathedral Green until Sunday 17th December. This year the market is organised by Exeter Cathedral, featuring largely local traders with unique, hand-made gifts. For the ultimate Christmas feel, visit the market in the dark! It’s open until 7pm Monday – Wednesday, and until 9pm Thursday – Saturday.

Pantomimes in Exeter

It’s not Christmas without a panto is it? Exeter Corn Exchange will be bringing a pantomime to the main stage once again. Cinderella is running from Saturday 9th December until Monday 1st January.

Christmas with the Lord Mayor

On Thursday 14th December, Christmas with the Lord Mayor will be held at The Guildhall. Between 5pm and 8pm there will be a Santa’s grotto, mulled wine and carol singers. This event is free to join, kindly asking for charity donations on the day.

This Christmas event is in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Charity, Age UK Exeter. The Charity is ‘committed to helping people love later life.’

Like we need another excuse to indulge in an afternoon tea, right? Well now we have one! Many hotels and restaurants around the city offer a Christmas themed afternoon tea. Check out what they offer at Exeter Golf and Country Club and Hotel Du Vin!

Events at the Guildhall Shopping Centre

There are plenty of events happening at the Guildhall Shopping Centre this December that everyone will enjoy.

The Exeter Chiefs Pop-Up Shop is now up and running at Market Square, fans will be delighted to hear that they can buy official merchandise up until 23rd December.

To feed your appetite whilst you shop, Street Food at Guildhall Shopping and Dining has returned until 23rd December. This food is perfect for on-the-go whilst you finish off purchasing those last minute Christmas gifts!

On 7th December, join the Salvation Army and sing your favourite Christmas carols. If you’re still not feeling festive, we bet this will! The service starts at 7pm at Market Square.

You’d be silly to miss these Christmas events for the children at the Guildhall! On 9th and 10th December there will be a Toy Fair for the kids to play with this year’s best toys, they’ll even get the chance to meet Santa and have their face painted! Also don’t miss the chance to meet Paddington Bear on 19th December between 11am and 4pm, keep an eye out for the marmalade workshop too!
